I'm doing that day I have done it twice before with this crowd and it is well worth doing again to revisit things I may have for gotten.

Sweet will see you there, come and say gidday, I have a largish group of friends going I will be one of the two really tall 6'5"guys (me and my little bro).

How did you find the day ??

Did you get out of it what you thought you would???

How did you guys go at the Intermarques on Sunday and did the driver training help??

Yeah mate was good to meet you too. Your Supra is damn cool and fast.

Course was great, well worth the money. Yeah I got some help with the lines and apexs which is what I really wanted, braking and car control I sort of have under control. One of the instructors Stephen Marks with the BMW was at the intermarque today and was helping me out as well what a top bloke! My little brother and my mates found it really good too.

I went well at the intermarque car behaved really well (2nd time out a car dumped oil all the way down the front straight in the racing line coming up to the corner so it slowed the last few laps down and also ment you picked up lots of old rubber as you were off the racing line but thats racing. Had some good battles and totally slayed one of mates which is what its all about lol.

Did you think the course was good, get wht you wanted out of it?

Yes I have to say I have done probably 4 other types of driver trraining and the Drivesmart one is the pick of the bunch not saying that the others were'nt any good but I just felt I got more out of the Drivesmart training.Even after doing it for a 3rd time for me it just reminds me of the little things tha I had forgotten so revisiting these little things will help me try and get a better timed lap which is what I'm after.

What sought of times were you getting around Manfeild???I'm guessing in that mid 1.25 ish to 1.28ish range???

For me I'm looking for sub 1.19....here's hoping.....

The guy that runs it goes by the name of Stephen Donnel he is a chauffeur for the Japanese Embassy.The best place to get hold of him is probably through his work,thats how I got a hold of him.I think they do a couple of these courses a year.Maybe BigDon might still have his contact details.

Best lap I ran that I know of was a 1.27 on Sunday I am really happy with that on a standard 140Km untouched motor.

Yeah I kinda had a inkling you'd be in that area as I believe anything under 1.30 is really quite quick for a ROAD GOING CAR other people may think different but in my experience coming here for the last 8 years suggests that under 1.30 for a road registered drive to the track and drive home car is that your doing well.

I personally started out at 1.29 all those years ago and that was in my first mkiv Supra and now with what I have done with driver days and fun days have managed to get down to a 1.19.4 and I believe these Drivesmart Training has helped me a great deal.

I dream of the dya that my little 1600 can do a 1.19 and then be driven home from the track!

I have an engine rebuild planned along with a lsd and close ratio trd gear set but still want to run pump gas so it wont be too extreme. If I could get down to a 1.24 I would be happy.

I also need to get some more weight or down force in the back as braking hard from 170k makes the back very light and gets a bit loose and upsets the car for the corner.

Sounds like you're getting too much nose dive under brakes.
