Blacktop question

Postby Toyota Norolla » Mon Oct 08, 2007 2:25 pm

Have been reading through some of the older posts about improving the performance of a 20v blacktop and just want to ask a question and see what you guys think would be best. Would trumpets be better than a cold airbox performance wise?was thinking about doing one of them but not sure which one :D any help on this would be great.

Don't think either one is "better" ... those two mods will have different effects on both your torque and power output. Trumpets should be tuned length according to where you're wanting the change in your torque curve to be, whereas cold air box will give a very small increase in power.

For cost compared to ease of set up and results, cold air box is the way to go. If you've got the time and money to get proper tuned length trumpets, and an idea of where you want the change in power and torque to be, go for trumpets. Don't forget though, blacktops with trumpets suck in a LOT of hot air.

Trumpets sound awesome btw
