I had a fantastic day!! The little Mirage did some great things for me again. :D
Got consistent 1.25's and pulled a couple of 1.24's apparently!! (must have been when I was chasing a couple of white subbies hehe) :mrgreen:

Thanks to Brad, Julian, the marshals and the rest of the team who did all the hard work to make it happen. Great to play and not have to do the work... thanks a bunch guys and girls. :D (Penny you make an awesome start marshal :wink: )

Can't wait to see the pics.

Today was most fun! loved being out there! I think everyone got over the motorkana and took to enjoying it - I know I did and I think the format wasn't actually too bad. I'm pretty sure most people were happy with the tracktime the ended up with? Especially considering its a club annual meeting not a track-race-test-day

Thanks Brad, for organising such an awesome weekend!

Had a blast on the track and will soooo be back again some time!!! :D
Bug has bitten me again!! hehehehe

Chelles - when is your next track day up there? :wink:

We were only up there for two of the three days, but had heaps of fun during those two days!!
Great to see so many Toyspeeders out there - granted I had no idea who half of you were, but was still awesome to see!! :)

Just a heads up, following some calls I got about the scrutineering on the day. Stuff not to do, that was happening that day.

1) Polycotton overalls are not acceptable
2) PK screwing an extinguisher to the floor is not acceptable
3) Non sealed batteries in the cabin, and not in a box is not acceptable
4) Helmets with no standards markings are not acceptable.

Manawatu car club will be getting a follow up phone call to that effect.

Just so you know, that if you turn up at events run anywhere else with any of these things, you won't be competing until you fix it, and that would suck. At least if you know that the scrutineering for that event was not to an acceptable standard, you can work on improving your car so you can compete at other car club events.

Yeah - a big thanks to Brad and others who organised and sponsors for the whole weekend.

was a bit weird being one of the few that came down from auckland.

Was good to put names/nick names to faces.

Really have to work on getting on the track some time in the very near future :D

Blinging!

Just turning up to hear the stories was worth it (and who was standing at the gate to MCC clubrooms and said "oh god, here we go" when I showed up in the Honda late on Monday afternoon?) I'll be a definite starter for the next time, have no fear 8)

Great day, thanks for organising. Pitty my above comment was correct! :roll: :lol: Seems my boost control worked too well and burst an intercooler joiner on my first run :x Oh well least its nothing major, couldn't fix on the day though because no local supplier had the right size.

Got to watch some great races though.

Keen for next time 8)

EDIT: and I was gutted to see True-no-turbo fly passed me on Haywards Hill as I was nana'ing it home! You bastard! :lol:

I didn't get anytimes because on the first run I took off then after the first lap the car wasn't pulling very hard, looked at the boost gauge and it was struggling to make 9-10psi (should have been 17psi like it had been the last few days). So I pulled into the pits thinking $&#$% shit $&#$% c**t etc. Thats when I saw the big rip in the joiner from turbo to I/C...so yeah didn't even get one good lap in.

True-no-turbo and Bstyle where going hard all day though...$&#$%... :lol: Bstyle even had his pads smoking away at one point. :twisted:

Chelles: I'd be keen as for a track day early on the '08 if you're wanting to run one? PS I was having a chat to you about your Mitsi on Sunday, I thought you were doing the Todd Park event on Monday though?

Monday Todd Park the venue was over run by cars belonging to people working nearby.

There are a number of Dual Car Sprints at Manfeild this year.

HCCC = April
Manawatu = May
HVMC = June (multi car sprint!)

Plan is same as this year, series points, and prizes.
