who else has a 2tgeu/4age & T50 in a KE2#?

Postby ke25sr » Sat Oct 20, 2007 10:20 am

I am not satisfied with my clutch set up.
So i really want to see waht some other people have done.

Im using a TE71 Master cylinder TE71 Slave Cylinder And T50 22 Spline.

Th clutch doesnt release untill the last minute and master cylinder seems to push more fluid than the slave can take. as it pushes fork untill it hits the opening in the bell housing.

Im starting to wonder if B&T gave me missmatched parts.

Has any one else had a simaliar issue.
Can people show me what they have done?
Thanks

in my ke35 i had an ae82 master cylinder with an ae86 slave cylinder, then I had to space the pivot point out on the bellhousing with a couple of washers.

... can't remember why though

the pivot may well be worn down, not uncommon on older / higher k gearboxes

a small change in its height makes a big difference to the travel of the fork, as long as the clutch is actually dis-engaging a single washer under the pivot should be enough.

its not a K box its a T box.
But i have tried placing a washer under the pivot. It helped but only a little.

thanks for the input.

yeah, sorry for the confusion i meant higher kms.

last time i pulled a pivot out of a box the thread was longer than the pivot itself, so no problems with stacking more washers under there if needed.

has the system been bled? are the master & slave in good condition?

does the box have an A series bellhousing or a T series on it? i dont know if theres any difference between slave cylinders on the two types, (ie you are using the TE71 slave cylinder on a 4A bellhousing) but it might be worth looking into - im sure revhead can tell you. possibly the TE slave doesnt have as long a rod as the AE or something?
