Well seems the track is far more popular then it used to be!!!

Earliest available date (on a weekend) is 17th of May which I have booked.

To cover the (rather high) costs of the day we have to have aprrox 150 cars racing...Which is enough for heaps of passes and enough $ to pay all the bills.

At this stage the cost to race will be $50 - this is all up - no hidden entrance fees or affiliation this and that.

I will decide later if I want to do a prepay entry type thing as a way of guaranteeing numbers - if there is a loss its my loss.

So yeah - plenty of time to book that day off work if you work Saturdays!!!

sweet, hopefully i'll be there handing it to the honda boys :lol:

I know of alot of people that would be keen for this. I can't see numbers being a problem at all!!

I reckon a Toyota vs Honda trackday at Taupo is in order at some point, to coincide with the drags and maybe another event (Show n shine?

), to have a Toyota vs Honda Series.

That seems a pretty damn reasonable price. I would be happy to pay more than that for a days racing if it came down to it. What sort of rules are there to race - wof and reg required? cages etc etc? This may have been covered already but I havent seen it

yeah I think so

Um the usual rules apply - wof and reg unless certified circuit or drag car....cage fine - no slicks unless NZDRA tech inspected etc.

From memory is has to be honda or toyota powered, sure someone else will point it out though
