Where to get these electrical connectors?

Postby TWSTD » Wed Nov 28, 2007 11:10 am

Morning all. Please excuse my bombardment of posts this morning!

Anyhow - I need to find out where I can get the following connectors.

I need male and female 9006 style connectors (as in the 9006/HB4 light bulb fitting).

I need the female fitting (incl pins etc) such as this:

and the male half which is shown here:

Any idea where to buy these in NZ?

Yeah as above try RS components,

or Tyco Electronics, somewhere in Onehunga from memory.

Possibly Wurth they do connectors kinda like

or failing that you could possibly talk to the guys at Merlin Motorsport in Papakura as they do heaps of oddball looms & stuff & Lee is pretty knowledgeable on that sort of stuff, dunno how helpful he'll be if you don't know him though

OK - instead of using pics of the net here are some actual pics of the conenctors:

1) 9006 connector (this fits into the factory 9006 light bulb connector - ie its the same sex as the fitting on a 9006 (HB4) bulb.
Image

2) Ballast connector

I have actually managed to locate the latter connector (the ballast connector) - but I dont have the pins for it - so I still need about half a dozen pins.

I have NOT managed to find the 9006 connector shown above though.

So if you can help me out (Nick or Adydas) that would be great :-)

*random thought* have you had a peak through the Narva catalogue (most auto parts stores should have the 'thick' book) as I know they were starting to stock this sort of stuff about 4 years when HID lights started to be a big thing

they look like "duetz" connectors to me. I know Goughs in manakau get duetz connectors but without a genuine part number you may have trouble unless you get a service kit. how did you get on with those manifolds al? still need them modified?
