ECU wire to AGE TVIS?

Postby Baxter » Sat Dec 01, 2007 10:48 pm

I finally got around to trying to discover where my low rpm torque is:

I had a fiddle with the TVIS today and the lever works when I apply vac to the actuator, however I can't spot the ECU signal wire that's supposed to the VSV - has anyone got a photo or diagram of where it should be it?

Cheers

On the ae82's its a green wire with a red line. But the fuel pump wire is also the same colour.
Should be a plug lurking under the inlet manifold.

possibly the STH pin on the ecu too, non VSV. i think its the 10th wire on the middle plug.

Cheers guys, I was setting up some extension hoses and tap to the actuator so I could open and close it from the cabin to check it's working (and I'm pretty sure it is) - when I though I might also check the timing...

It was rebuilt less than 3000 kms ago so I assumed timing would be fine. Assumption is always a mistake of course. It was was set to 8 degrees, and after correcting it to 10 degrees it finally has low rpm torque.... Yay!!

I can't believe the difference 2 degrees out made, but I'm very happy the MR2 is now at least in the same ballpark as my CR-Xs. :)
