I rang around Palmy and no one was going to be able to help me out with what I wanted. Never got any drag tires but I suspect I might be able to get an ok time anyway - gonna aim for the 12 second range anyway.

Who else is going to be over there?

If you want to make a trip I know Dave Hadley Tyres in the Hutt(0800 HADLEY) can suss hoosiers if requested I believe, you just would have to get some suitible 12"/14" rims

I'm still making the trip over, just gave the car a clean to make it look respectable

white r34?? saw it at port road. supposedly around 900hp at the wheels mark, recently imported it, I spotted it driving around the hutt with a few top fuel stickers and what was maybe a top secret sticker. had a quick talk with the owner at port road he's only recently imported it from japan said he didn't know too much about it apart from it was rumoured to have run 9 second 1/4's in japan. also ran down that purple RAWGTR over the 1/8 mile after RAWGTR was probably already at the 100metre mark haha the white r34 seemed to have problems launching

Best time was 13.5 @ 107mph - 2.2 60fts :D
but still not fast enough yet!.

Cambo1 ran a 11.7 yesterday in his Evo.

I also think that the NZDRA rules state that if you go under 11's (I think) you need a roll cage, dont know if he had one or not, but he might've been banned for going to fast 8O

And for the people who left becuase of the rain they missed a brilliant final of top alchohol, with a 6.32 vs a 6.45 (I think)

I ran low 16's both day's with a full tank of gas on board which was a brilliant idea , and when I finnally started to take weight out of it(spare tyre etc.) and put ice on the inter-cooler I had a stuffed clutch that was slipping all the way down the track :( , so improvement is definantly there

Clutch now need replacing and was interesting driving over the hill

awesome! about time  what changes did you make? did you go with street tyres today?

loose unit , bloody hell thats a quick starlet man 8O

i'm pretty sure either they stopped the gtr running or he decided he was happy and went home. he would need to be running a fair bit more power than GTRPWR to pull him in like he did, so would have to be more than 450kw atw. r34 is heavier too i think.

I only ended up going today but it was a mint meeting! Some small but effective track improvements. A nasty crash today with a few other cars doing lane changes too.

The rain was a bit of a bugger tho . . . . . .

haha yeah I ran street tyres on the warm up run to see if that made a diff, wheelspin 1st, right through 2nd gear.

put the hoosiers back on with a bit more press in em, set the launch on the link to 8500 with some boost and my times seemed were consistant from then on. :P

0.5 away from 12s :D

Dave in the Blue Mivec Lancer, run a mid 11.7? today, 600hp on c19 8O
