He got told to leave because he has a jap spec roll cage in it, and he was racing on a sportsman licence.

With a best time of 11.75 @ 114mph.

EDIT: My car didnt break :D

I saw the final, was a pretty even race untill about half track, I guess because Dave's been racing the GTR for 250 years he can just set it up right on the limit of what you boys are allowed to run.

There was a few nasty incidents during both day, there was a green chevy coup (i forget his name) on saturday that burst into flames because of a manfunction with the injection system which pressurised the engine and blew it apart thus creating a hole bunch of flame, most of which in the cockpit which is tottaly stuffed, and caused him to bail as he moved onto the grass, I feel sorry for the guy as it was his first run with his new blown and injected set-up

Apart from that and a couple of oil downs the only major thing on Saturday was Scott Millar in his dragster who went drifting at mid track, now that was a sight to behold

Rex Ducket was the man who crashed his Vaxuall Viva, he hit the wall hard after losing it on some oil that had been spilt earlier in the day in the right hand lane, apparantly the car is repairable but he has got some thrashing to do to get it back on the road (it is street legal :o )

I didn't get a good look of the damaged car but apparently it was pretty rooted but fixable.

Well done to everyone with the racing. Its gets hard with oil downs and breakages all the time!!

Cheers

Yes, he lives 5 mins away from the track (well used to) and he is either 20 or 21, very good pedler however

Sure is. 20 or 21 I think. He started out racing J/D's (like me and Ben) and moved on to a blown/injected mustang shortly after he outgrew the j/d. Now hes gone to the t/a dragster.

Well done man :) Good to see it finally coming together. I went away from these drags having learnt a few things... essentially that you reach a point where just power, a bit of slick driving and sticky tires aren't always enough for a quick time. I definitely know a 12 is in mine - but I have to do some tinkering with the back end :|

haha yeah I ran street tyres on the warm up run to see if that made a diff, wheelspin 1st, right through 2nd gear.

put the hoosiers back on with a bit more press in em, set the launch on the link to 8500 with some boost and my times seemed were consistant from then on. :P

0.5 away from 12s :D

Dave in the Blue Mivec Lancer, run a mid 11.7? today, 600hp on c19 8O

just need to get mine ready for the next meet for some grudge action now. i've havent had my traps as high as yours but i've also never had the car at 100% there before. pretty confident i should get it up there with a bit of luck.

Man the track got sticky on saturday, i bogged on the line from 6500rpm, revs dropped to 3500 :?

Had to launch from 7000rpm after that and stiffen the rear suspension to induce wheelspin, to get my turbo spooling up

Yeah, I was getting axle tramp so couldn't launch it hard :( Ended up doing a 13.4 @ 110mph just driving off the line and going home in disgust hahaha.

Have a new angle to take on it for the next drags....

yours makes more power so shouldnt be a prob, use my hoosiers for a couple of runs, set the limiter to 7500k and launch at that, those hoosiers were bogging my car @ 8500 off the line with boost on Sunday, mate that track was sticky!
