Plates - Ummm ok then ?

in my opinion the personalised plates with messages are generally waste of money unless they are on something very unique or a business vehicle.

I actually probably agree but not very many people no what my plate means unless your a car guy or no Toyota's.I always get people saying to me 2jzgte what does that mean.It pretty much looks like a normal plate anyways.

Thought i would bring this thread back... got a questions about censoring or what they deem inappropriate.

My cousin is getting a P-Plate for his 21st and was looking at getting something along the lines of bugger.

Was told that these are inappropriate..

the thing is:

BUGGER is taken

BUGGAH and any other derivative is inappropriate...

Does anyone here know whats the happenings here or how to get around this?

totally depends who you get at the plates place....

the other thing is if someone finds your plate offensive, then the plates people can revoke it with no chance of appeal..

what a have..... [BUGGER] is a "premium" plate and has been snapped up....

yet [BUGGAH] and [BUGG3R] cannot be released for sale.... go figure...

You can appeal with some context if you think a plate should be allowed.

If you really wanted BUGGAH and it got turned down, you could ring and ask if it could be allowed and if it isn't insist, that BUGGER is withdrawn as it is offensive. See how quickly they back down

My brother in law is a tax partner and recently the company sold out to the WHK group (one of the biggest in Australasia) so He thought he would get the plate WHK TAX, he was turned down for an offensive plate, when he asked WTF he was told that if you pronounce WHK the maori way then it sounds a bit like a bad word, He fought this decision and won

Well obviously that idea is taken, and plates has the final say if your plates are ok or inappropriate or not, and sometimes they could be outright f*#Kwits about the plates.

Why not take this chance to think of something original? Instead of following other people's footsteps........... just a suggestion.

Its not following anyone. its my cousins 21st present and he's had the nick name for the last 20 (atleast) years.
