BEE-r or gizzmo limiter

Postby ChaosAD » Mon Dec 03, 2007 8:42 pm

Wanting something to cut the revs back during flat-shifting to keep the turbo spooled up.
Not sure wether to go for a bee-r rev limiter or the gizzmo launch control.

Has anyone tried either of them?

Have heard that they can increace the cylinder temps. is this true? would that increace detonation?

I've got a gizzmo shift/launch controller, haven't used it for ages but it was annoying when downshifting, limiting the revs when you need more was fairly annoying (perhaps I didn't set up the clutch switch correctly).

AFAIK the BEE*R is just a rev limiter, and it doesn't really have a flat shift option.

Yep, as far as i know, the bee-r is only a rev limiter, no option for flat shifting. My brother has one in his gt starlet, and is good for building boost off the line.

Nah I thinbk it has a two-stage rev limit too, got to put a button somewhere for it.
