Good place to purchase Nissan/Datsun engines?

Postby ollieboy » Wed Dec 12, 2007 8:27 pm

I'm having a little bit of trouble locating a Datsun A14 engine. Hopefully someone on Toyspeed has one or know of a place to get one.

Are they getting harder to find like some Toyota engines or are they still quite common?

Thanks
Ollie

I'm in Christchurch BTW

Wow, I searched that site and found that the A14 is still in production, thats amazing and awesome. Only in South Africa I think though. Hmm, I can get cheap flights to South Africa through a friend. :D

why would you go all the way to SA for an engine then have to haul it back?

quite simple really, fly there for cheap, buy said engine, pack into 'carry on' luggage and save on freight

Ollie, give David a ring at Autoparts Timaru 03 6844168. if he hasn't got one, he'll know where one is.
does Gav not have anythig tucked away in his shed?

It was a joke :?

Cheers for that number Joe, I'll give him a call sometime. Gav has a few but they are all in cars already. He's got a CA18 turbo engine in one of his sheds but I'm not willing to put that in a car :P
