We sell and maintain machine tools and equipment as part of a world-wide corporation. Headquartered in Palmerston North, we serve large and small businesses throughout the country.
The Store person is a crucial member of our small team ensuring customer satisfaction through prompt delivery. You will work closely with our Engineer and Salesman as well as with our accounting staff and office team. The Store person reports directly to our Managing Director.
You must be able to work without supervision but in concert with the other team members. You will manage parts & tools orders, pick & pack, maintain stock and liaise with engineering.
Job responsibilities include:
* Take orders from customers
* Pick and pack goods daily
* Manage stock levels
* Order goods from local & overseas suppliers
* Accept and record inwards goods into store
* Ensure all backorders are filled as soon as possible
* Carry out stocktakes
* File orders and goods received notes
* Monitor outstanding backorders
* Maintain records for goods on trial, car stock & dismantled equipment
* Keep the stores area clean and tidy.
Experience preferred (2-5 yrs) as well as Engineering / Machine interest and exposure.
