Garrett turbo...but what model?

Postby KiwiMR2 » Wed Dec 26, 2007 9:55 pm

Heya

We have just imported a 1998 Accord wagon to sell & much to my surprise it appears to have a turbo strapped to the motor. It's not boosting that well....will need to get it tuned properly but is there any way to tell what type of Garrett turbo it has with the markings on it?

Doesn't appear to be.....I noticed that pretty quick as well ;)

I suspect it should really only be running 5 or 6 psi.......and not ofr extended periods I would have thought!?

I think it says .42 A/R? Could be off an old CA18DET? I can't remember exactly but I do think the T25G's have .42 A/R's?

not exactly monsterous.

as we have found out its a T25 of some sort...
(no such thing as a T25G, and the A/r dosent tell what its off, nor does the M27)

and with a cast manifold it could possably be a very early H.K.S kit..?

any numbers on the tag on the bearing housing...
H.K.S usaly has a number of 17200-11410 (TB2806 kit for a RB20)
or a Garrett number E.g 468xxx-x00x

give me those numbers and i can tell you what it is...

Chris.
