ae82 axle stubs

Postby ChaosAD » Fri Jan 04, 2008 10:58 pm

Have dropped an ae92 c52 gearbox in my fx and pulled the axle stubs off the old gearbox.

Problem is I didnt take note of which one went on which side.

One is slightly longer than the other. Does anyone know which goes where?

on the ae92 etc the driveshafts slot into the gearbox.
on the ae82 there are little stubs with flanges on them.
These slot into the gearbox and the driveshafts bolt onto them.

To use an ae92 box I need to remove the stubs from the old gearbox and fit them to the a92 gearbox.

The stubs arent identical and im not sure which goes on which side.

Dont really want to do trial an error if it can be avoided

Scott, i would have thought you could just use the ae92 axles complete with no problems. Or did you just get ae ae92 gearbox and have no axles to go with it?
