Could be a cracked pipe. Use your fingers and try and find where it's coming from.

Would probably have been the water coming out, cause it's under pressure!

Had a small leak in my Galant once, in the radiator hose, didnt know much about cars and didn't think it would do much, but drove it 5 kms across town.

Then it ... died ... cracked the head!

it wouldnt have cracked from overheating . all water systems pressurerise
when the water heats up he just means it wont leak much when its not under presserse but when its underpressure the water will be forced out any holes or cracks

Well when you heat water it expands, and when it expands in your cooling system it creates pressure.

Yea, the head cracked because of heat, cause I ran out of water, hence the water leak.

sounds like a cracked pipe could be something lose start by looking at the waterlines that run across the moter run just behind the turbo

yeah, if there's water pissing out, it should be pretty easy to find, fill the radiator with water again (when the car is cold) then start it, watch the engine to see where the water comes out, making sure that you don't run it dry. once you've found where the water is coming out, turn it off, and fix it.
