rhys first got into the drifting with his track supra, just gave it a bit of a tweak, and took it out, did pretty well, can't remember wether he said he won anything or not, but did do very well, he then went to the gto after that, someone else ran his supra though and still ranked very high!

i think the main reason it's not as common as the nissans is the same old story, parts availabilty? tuning especially in the states more leans towards the drag circuit, not as much track, and quite rare on the drifting side.

Its 12.38am and we have just finished another epic night working on the car. Gym at 6am then an hour to work in Wanganui... oh yay.

Its a BN Sport kit.

No the snail is NOT small. The number of Ex Japan boxes stacked up in the workshop it mind blowing! Some serious coin and thought has gone into this car with a ton of top shelf JDM and TRD parts being installed and a few rather clever innovations as well. Projected HP is in the region of the top D1GP Japanese cars. Dyno tune and figures will be out soon enough.

Quest Industries has a some interesting talent in their employ and the whole company is behind the build and backing Will.

I would be interested to see what TRD parts you have in that car because I also have a sh*t-load of there product in mine.I guessing off the top of my head though clutch and diff would have to be TRD.What are you doing for brakes????I am not far away from installing the TRD mono-block brake-kit to my Supra.

I've heard a seemingly meaningless combination of letters and numbers like "T O FOUR ZED" being thrown around, who knows though.

Graphics designs wise we only just got all the old TRD stuff back up to speed after moulding the kit for spares last night... in the rain... in my driveway... at 11pm!

We also laid the groundwork for the final design but now need to source finances or sponsorship for the printing of the vinyl (over $1.5K work at cost price) for the car plus 5 spare body kits.

Doing things the right way isn't the cheap way.

Partswise... nothings been unveiled, no hoods lifted, no spec sheets made public, so why reveal anything yet? Will's poured his heart, soul and finances into this thing for over a year and a half. May as well unveil it properly with everyone finding out what its got as its frying its first tyres in anger in Competition. Unless you can justify why we should be telling all now?

Seconded. Make a post in general saying "Check out this car" and then saying nothing about it is a bit meh but hey. Now you've revealed its existance so made a place for people to talk about it, so people WILL discuss :)

Its $5K a 450mm logo on each side. Considering the cost of build and racing for one season, pushing far beyond the $100K mark and gauging the enthusiasm of those that HAVE come on board so far... it IS a bargain, yes.

So Lith, you'd rather not know anything about it at all until the day it shows up? So your not one to check out sneak peeks and so called spy shots of new release parts or vehicle models?

cogent wrote:"GUYS! check out this saweettt slidedriftsledxsliderslideslipper! ooops! cant tell you nothin!"

Was that my my opening post? damn my bad... could have sworn I said "heres what the car LOOKS like at the mo". Didn't mean to imply the post was a "heres the full spec sheet on Will's new car - feel free to spot its strengths and weaknesses before it competes and be ready JT and Co."

I posted up images of the car, not specs. Can't tell you anything because its still changing day to day and its the owners choice to have it that way.

Thats the point, build a little anticpation and enthusiasm amongst the Toyota crowd for one of their own.
Discuss away... just don't ask me for more than I am allowed to pass on.

But, point taken. I'll keep my mouth shut about the car and not pass on what little I may be able to let you in on.
