from what i understand rotarys die cuz the apex seals get hard and brittle as the factory pre mix (oil in the fuel for luberication) thingy isnt really up to the task, so if you put 2 stroke pre mix oil in the fuel they last alot longer.

iv recently developed a stange desire for a batman but if i has the choice between a bat or a manual TT supra id go supra

all engines die, its a fact of life, certainly rotarys seem to wear faster than other engines but i think theres a bit of a stigma about them being really unreliable etc etc

the fact is they tend to attract the kind of people who don't look after their car well and try to do things on the cheap (not saying all rotary owners are like this, but the ones who complain about their rota always popping au do seem to be)

IMO, a well looked after rotary will last a reasonable amount of time.

way, way better looking car, too

RX7 is better looking, lighter and better handling. Like evil_si said, if you're going to mod them you NEED to change the ECU. The stock S6/7 ones are really rigid in their programming, and anything out of the realm of the stock tune they cant deal with. The S8's are alot better in that respect.
Supras are a damn good car though, no question.

Supras are brilliant but they just don't seem to have the x-factor of a 7.
Will me my choice in a few years 8)

Maybe he's talking about the Pantera in the background? :P

I say take em both for a drive, and get whatever you like best.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Supra doesn't have x-factor really I can't believe some of you are saying this have you not seen a lowered Supra with 10' wide rears 9'wide fronts and the sound of a JZ with a decent aftermarket exhaust system going full noise f**k I must me in another world Supra's like this sound and look like actual BEASTS...

X-Factor how bout the TRD 3000 GT one of the best body-kits ever made for a JDM car full-stop.....
