MEGAMEET 2008 Fund Raiser

Postby darkwolf » Thu Jan 17, 2008 3:06 pm

Hey,

Was suggested in the megameet thread that we do some regional fund raising to bring down the cost of megameet. So I thought I would start a thread.

Now I know that some people will be thinking that if it's in the NI then we don't need to fund raise but it could help bring down the cost of mega meet and 'sides we never know what might happen this year or even next. So lets get behind it.

I also know that we have enough trouble organising a bbq without trying to raise funds with it. But, I figure this might have some more motivation about it than just any old bbq.

We'll get the ball rolling with some ideas:

BBQ/Sausage Sizzle,
Car Wash,
Possibly try looking into sponsorship from Wreckers, Distributors, Workplaces etc I don't know if there are any rules against this
Does anyone have access to a big car transporter? (longshot maybe)

Lets get some ideas going.

Actually that doesn't sound like a bad idea? Who's up for organising it.

Could even maybe talk to an events centre such as mystery creek and do it that way. Bearing in mind this is to try and raise money not to spend more money on new tyres etc.

Mysteru creek would be awsome! maybe abit expensive.. if it was a place like that we would probably need to go thru all the regulations ect....

Search is a useful tool... you'll find it under the toyspeed banner at the top of the page :)
