if you buy a GTT and treat it like that you'll quickly find yourself with a $1500 for a clutch replacement

if you are in the 8-10k bracket, i dont think you'll find a better wagon than a caldina.

no offense, but you sound like the kind of person who will have trouble insuring a turbo vehicle - have you considered getting a non-turbo? for your dollar you will be able to get something newer / lower kms.

hahah, im currently with NAC who from what i hear will insure anyone for the right money.. figured if i saved up around 10k for a new car then sell my trueno for $3k-$4k and use the money from that for insurance etc, but will be getting a quote from them sometime this week hopfully.

I dont really no what else i could get in the under $10k range, dont want a truck and want a four door that still has a bit of kick when i need it...... any ideas?

you should be able to get a nice caldina for 10k ive had no problems with mine apart from the clutch going at 125,000 but thats just general wear and tear and yes it was expensive to get fixed, insurance isnt too bad on them i was 18 when i first insured mine for $1400

imo they are great on gas for a turbo and they are definetly quciker than a gtb, have driven a vr4 legnum but have never had the chance to go up against one

we had a vr4 legnum at work a while ago, some import that never made it through compliance or something. had the chance to drive it a bit. it felt really quick off the line, but the speedo didnt really show what you expected for all that noise. that being said, the caldinas i have driven havent been blindingly quick either.

i'd still prefer the dina though :D
