personally i wouldnt be impressed by any guy that tried to pick me up in a bar, but apparently, thats just me

but if i diiidd... id say your best bet is a compliment or a cheesy pick up line as long as its not sleazy, depending on whether you're feeling funny that night, but dont make physical contact at all, unless its a light touch of the shoulder or after a couple of drinks you can attempt to brush a piece of hair off her face, ive heard thats quite erotic :wink:

and for gods sake if a girl turns away or denies you dont keep trying, its just embarrasing

so i go for either humour or niceness, anything thats natural and not forced out, im not a guy but i wouldnt buy any girl a drink unless she showed that at least she wasnt gonna cringe whenever i opened my mouth, and id be expecting at least 1/2 an hour of nice conversation :lol:

just something to show that maybe she kinda liked me.

And just for some more cents, I find it really irritating when guys say, "Hows ur night" or "What are you up to?" I thought the 2nd one was obvious and the first always leads to arkward (sp?) conversation.

but then again, if shes remotley interested in you, i spose she'll help along with the conversation. if shes giving one word answers, back teh truck up and get out

I dig the can i buy u a drink.....oh Hold da phone....Disco asked me that :O haha anyway i like it coz its suttle and not sleazy...sure u could be trying to get the chick drunk to like u but hey if shes willing to take the drink then she must have some kind of interest in u. I accept a few b4 and ive denied a few its all a matter of trial and error however i do agree with Carly that at all costs DO NOT and i mean DO NOT attempt to recover from a nasty slap down or chopchopchop. It only makes u look desperate and stupid, and hey if u wanna look stupid either drink lots or enjoy the "natural" things in life......like cory.....UR FONES RINGING CORRRR!!!!!

I'd have to agree with the above spoken wisdom!!

The best thing is definitely to be yourself, natural and try starting a conversation. A chick can tell when you're nervous or fake!!

I totally think the whole "rubbing against you" thing is very very irritating!! Makes you feel violated in a way!! A girl likes to choose who she dances with, not have a random guy come up and try dancing with her!

The one and only time I've hit on a guy in a club, I just went up and asked if I could dance with him, while he was already on the dance floor! (I was fully sober at the time

) He was much abliged and actually quite a nice guy. I think we'd actually noticed each other across the room and my friend told me to go for it!! :lol:

Meeting people in the clubbing/bar situation can be daunting and sleazy, but sometimes it actually works out fine, I mean, hell, a lot of people go out to meet people anyway right?! But like Carly said, back off if you're not welcome coz it's just embarassing!!

Hey common its not like im having trouble with women. It was just set to be kinda a guide for guyz in from this site in general. Lil bit in inocent fun.

Oh kay , seems like the small talk , buying drink , introduction method is kinda popular amoung the ladies.

However...Ive seen my man-whore buddies in action and they dont need to buy drinks , introduce themselves , or talk at all....and they still get random hookups , $&#$% buddies etc
They dont act too sleezy , they dont persist if they get the idea, they jst try the next chick. And it works!
Basically their techinique is try to dance with as many chix as possible to see if any are keen on them , usually fails about 7or8 times outa 10 ...but its worth it...sometimes my mates can get 2 or 3 chix a nite. I of course , am not a man-whore therefore do not partake in such activities....all tho my mates are keen to get me into it.

Ladies , what are youre thoughts on this?

hey i thought id put my 2cents in, i think your best bet is to be natual just go with the flow, ask questions bout her is a good idea & if she only gives u 1 word answers then thats another way of saying she dont like ya,
also dont offer a drink rite a way get her talking 1st & dont worry about having to say the rite thing if you make her laugh thats a good thing

well i think this may work on some chicks like sults but not me, im not in to the 1 nite stands, + if a guy comes up 2 you & hits on you & u turn him down & he just moves on to the next chick its not a good sign it just shows he doesnt like u he just wanted a quicky

Wake up the next morning, let ur mate tell you you ended up dancing with, and kissing a chick on the dance floor, before ditching em to go and drink pi$$ with ur mates at another pub....dunno how it always seems to happen to me...(and I never remember it happening cause I'm always too trashed), then ur mate points her out the next night you and ur mate see her out and ur like wtf?
