what extractors are you looking at getting?

some won't be worth even putting on, so best to show us what you're getting.

Nope, they are poo. They will make an improvement to your car, though only at the top end. Could adapt some silvertop ones for less with better results.

2-2.25 inch max mandrel bent 1 muffler and 1 resonator and your tip. id agree with 20v standard headers however i think the 2-1 bit needs to be fabricated.

try magoo on durham st by south city or Petes customs on disreali/ sandyford st. both of the did work on my cars (all by pete as used to work at magoo) excellent job ok prices.

what does the exhaust sound like? tinny or something else?

could always replace the rps muffler with a more "normal" muffler, that should fix any horrible noises.

blacktop extractors seem to be a good option over aftermarket, just a small bit of modifying to the bolt holes. Not sure on the exhaust end of them tho if it just bolts up or not

if you manage to get your car for the BBQ this weekend you can compare it to mine to see if the would be much work to put the blacktop ones on

They're also rwd.

I paid $10.50 for my silvertop headers, just needa redrill the suckers. Can't beat that for value for money.

buy a standard blacktop 4-2 and 2-1 exhaust manifold and secondary part. these come on ae111s.

take it to a exhaust shop and tell tehm to fit it.

they may need to alter the exhaust slighty.

but they will definately need to slot the two outer holes as 20vs have a different bolt pattern to 16v 4ages. its a easy job.

you will also have to reposition your o2 sensor. but if smallports run a single wire o2 sensor, im pretty sure they are useless and id just block to o2 port up.

what he said ^^

keep an eye on the for sale section and on trademe for people wrecking BZG/Rs (blacktops). You can pick them up cheap compared to aftermarket extractors that won't really help you.
