Shorter shocks for EE80/AE82?

Post by Pies »

Can anyone tell me if AE92 shocks or the whole struts are shorter than ee/ae80 front and rear? or are they the same?

failing that, what are some shorter options? or do i need to get some standard shocks shortened?

Pies, essentially thestd items are the same height, or very very close. You will need something aftermarket to lower the AE92.

I think I have some AE82 struts from Tony Oliver's old circuit AE82 in the lockup. They may be a bit shorrter than std.
If they're not, they will have the screw cap which allows a short insert to be installed, rather than the sealed unit.
May not be able to look til next week.

Oh cool

Well let me know if you find them. I wont be doing anything about suspension for a week or 2 anyway

those are the same stroke wise but if youre after shorter i believe the gt4 shocks are smaller but you would have to modify the strut housing to make them work 8)
