Was part of a convey of modified cars that didn't call it in, scattered quickly after a lot of screaming and yelling pretty quickly after it had been called in, had just gone up the pretty deserted road about 10-15 mins beforehand and were making a lot of noise as they went both ways. The scene was also littered with about a dozen and a half of various alcohol bottles. I also know what speed you can go around the bend that it appears they've lost it on, and it's well above the speed limit.

Not sure if the fire caused the crash, or the crash caused the fire.

I'm just assuming.

Looks like it was tourched after to remove any evidence... Having their $1500 s**t box (writen off at this stage) plus a heap of fines and stuff, vs torch it and do the runners.

Judging by the tone and language of what I assume was the driver, I doubt it.....especially since the plates were still on it and various items were strewn across the road, like the front panel and smart cards for a sky receiver.

Don't see how any of that post changed the theme of the thread?

passenger side wheels are smashed but looks like damage from fence/bank are on drivers side. plus the skid marks look weird.
Could he have gone wide furthur up the rd and hit a kurb?

grass looks cut and dry, staw with hot exhaust would catch light quite easily i'd think

Yes you can see in the ditch where the ground has been disturbed by the impact and spinning.

So, I wonder how that melted boot print on the passangers door in the second to last photo comes into it?
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Dunno, there were a couple of cars that drove past an hour or two after emergency services left, plus a few more today.

Don't think it's melted, more just ash transfered from the ground.

And the photos might be a bit deceiving but the skid marks are the distance from the front to rear wheels apart, not the left and right. Also the rims look more heat stressed than anything else. Tyres exploding made for good noises

These are exactly the kind of photos they should be using to deter people from this kind of bullshit.

'like your car? drive responsibly or this will happen'

I'm glad it looks like no other cars were involved. Could have been really nasty

looks like the gangsta lean on the seats wouldnt have helped much controlling the car at high speed, haha i can see the little shits now, leaning right back with one hand on the top of the steering wheel

unless the fire broke the mech and they just fell back like that
