Accom needed in Auckland 2 or 3 nights a week

Postby KinLoud » Thu Mar 06, 2008 9:38 pm

Yeah - new job based in auckland... don't want to move from Hamilton, but don't want to drive to and from Auckland every workday.

My plan is to find somewhere I can stay 2 or 3 nights a week to minimise the commuting between Ham and Auck.
Anyone got a spare room or granny flat or empty caravan?

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Hey Ken.

So you've finally decided to move to a real city...
What part of the big smoke?
What job?

Thanks for your support!

Jet - yes, 737. Lots of hands on time, lots of landings!
International - no (domestic, main trunk)
Location - Prefer approx 20 minutes off peak drive to the airport (40 minutes peak, see rant below)
"Real City" (see rant below) - no.... got a nice house here in Ham. My other (wiser) half has a really good job and has followed me around heaps for my work in the past.
I plan to see how the semi commute goes for a few months, then move if we really have to.

In a real city, drivers would know how to:
1 - merge
2 - let people in from side roads
3 - drive at a constant speed in heavy traffic so there is no wave effect!
4 - not treat driving to work as a competitive sport

Hey Man,

who you flying for ?? NZ i presume ??

I work in the supply and logistics for nearly every plane on the airport here so am sure we'll run into each other at some point. Also fly here and there myself.

I'd offer you a place but my place is already full, there's always the deck though!

Come live with us Ken ... Hanre, Adydas and Myself ...
I'm sure between my cooking, Hanres large screen TV and the passion you share for flying with Cliff - you'll feel like you've landed in heaven!!! hehe

It is super close to the airport - took me about 20 mins the otherday IN peak traffic (had to check in at 5:30pm if memory serves me right?) so you should be well and truely sweet
