Ohk..

I thought that all ST205s were 4wd turbo, I take it that the 5 just denotes 4wd?

Well it denotes its got an S series engine on the T platform, and a 205 chassis. X5 seems to usually be the 4wd model. Not always though, IE AE85.

But in the ST series it does, I know what you mean. ST165, ST185, ST205 etc.

Cheers. Another lesson learnt. Mods feel free to delete.

This is a good trick for young players.

When doing a chassis realignment on a crashed ST205 Celica, do not use the chassis measurements for a ST205 Exiv. Funnily enough you'll find that some of the chassis measurements are different...

Engine bay is identical. Can't recall the rear end, are any of the 4wd or all just fwd? Haven't looked that close.

When the clowns did mine they found that my car was different behind where the engine bay chassis rails stop. I guess the four door shell is different, will find the chassis data I have.

in EVERY type of vehicle, the LETTER and Numbers in the chassis number all represent something, generally Engine size, engine family, 2 or 4 wheel drive, body style (sedan, wagon, hatch etc) etc etc this goes for EVERY japanese manufactured car.

It amazes me the amount of dismantlers out there who call themselves specialists but haven't even figured out the chassis codes for the make of vehicle they 'specialise' in.

We had a guy bring his one into work to get the ecu wired up.

Had transplanted a GT4 engine into his 4wd EXIV/Curren/Corona whatever it was,

but his was an auto.

The Auto ecu and engine ecu are combined, and you try finding a ECU for an automaitc GT4, lol.

I think in the end had to run the std n/a ecu wired up to everything to run the box, and piggyback a link over it to run the spark and fuel.
