cage is usless.
bonnet doesnt fit right
and interesting use of a stock front strut brace in the front! not sure what thats for! :lol:

doesnt appear to be over priced either

i love how all the strength has been taken out of the spot welds by putting rivets(probably alloy ones).

nah yo, thats the jdm-tyte bonnet lift mod!
all the pro drifters are doing it, you aint JDM unless yo bonnet doesnt fit right!

no seriously, some people think that by lifting the back of the bonnet like that it helps remove hot air from the engine bay. personally, ill take the performance hit, if any, to not look like a $&#$% idiot :lol:

the only thing i don't realy like is the rivets i mean wtf? drop the cage, paint the inside drop a closed cell in there take the spacers out of the bonnet... would make it a prity nice car, wonder what the cert guy failed it on maybe the rivets :P

all the pro drifters are doing it, you aint JDM unless yo bonnet doesnt fit right!

they do get rid of alot of heat esp when u have a very clusted engine bay and works grate as demister!

rivets can be very strong if you use them in the right spot, right length, right type, and right spacing.

alot of things i doubt he's done :lol:

ok... i hadnt spotted the rivets!! :lol:


lifting the back of the bonnet will only help when stuck in traffic.
at anything over like 20-30k it will cause higher under bonnet temps.

i dont know why people are so hard on this car, wouldnt take much for it to be mint. paint inside, get a new seat... throw away dodgy cage if its really that bad?

Leon , you need to add harness installation , it appears to be clipped to it self after being wrapped around the modified "front" strut brace , I'd feel real safe wearing that ...NOT

the only way it could make any improvement is if you have more airflow going in the front of the car, around the engine and out there than you do hitting the car above the front inlet and bonnet and lower screen.

if you have that much airflow going in there.... you have issues!!!

as has been pointed out MANY times before, that section of the car is a high pressure area.
meaning for air to flow OUT of the bonnet opening the air pressure in there has to be greater than that at the base of the screen.
hence why it is used as an air intake for engines and heater systems....

it will not and cannot help with under bonnet cooling at speed. unless you have another outlet for all the air going in at the back off the bonnet.
which if you do, is probably underneath the car. just where you want more air at speed :lol:

if you have under bonnet temp issues, i would suggest such things as making sure heat sources are wrapped, the radiator shroud is working/there. if you need vents louvres or vents in the bonnet fowrad of the high pressure bubble are what you need. eg EVOs and sports cars.
