Sounds like you guys had a ball, I had fun too, Rode a 400cc Motocross machine for the first time in about 10 years around to red rocks and cable bay and then up and around Makara and had a look at the new windfarm being created up there. Huge excavations going on up there!!

Also faceplanted twice off the bike and as a result can't walk very well at the moment and have a black & Blue foot

Sounds cool, apart from the broken body parts... can you get any offroad vehicle around there or do you need a bike?

There was a pretty stock looking nissan Terrano going around there and got most of the way around. They seemed to go through the sand better than the bikes, Narrow tires = sink unless you go full speed

Some amazing scenery around there, even if you walk or cycle but it's a long way.

I remember a few years back getting my old Holden barina with 5 people just past the first stream but then the 4 other people had to push it out again

Ground clearance I think is the biggest issue, Theres a place called devils gate that is like driving over a giant really rough judder bar made of rock!

Bahaha, you do that and the wagon wont even move..

I hope TazzyD wasnt too uncomfortable with the disappearing and reappearing racecar that filled his rear vision mirror.. I was making the most of being the last car, and the really fun goat track roads
