Removing stereo in 1996 caldina

Postby method » Sat Apr 05, 2008 7:10 pm

Have a standard caldina, not sure on model but its just a 1.8 slushbox.

I cant see any screws apart from one up the top where the speedo cluster is. The frame around heater and radio seems to join right through to the drivers side air vents. I assume its clipped on somehow, i have tried pulling and prying it off but dont want to damage or break the clips.

are there any tricks to removing it??

Cheers.

toyotas are generally pretty good to remove stereos from, usually the surrounds have very few screws if any.
When in doubt, down and out.
