hahaha, and how valid do you think your point is? How many 10 sec cars owned by "boy racers" do you know of? sweet fk all I bet

Dude, do the math.

Lets take a 20 second car, thats a total of 2mins of track time over 6 races.

Not to mention that most of the guys are totally inept at listening to and following any form of rules or instruction, even if they are for their own safety.

and the very same reason they do dumb sh!t on the roads.

let's succumb to their crap and build a $$$$ venue in every major urban area and see how little it gets used. i'd be super stoked to see my tax and rates used so unwisely.
their are enough legal venues they could utilise. if they decided to not do laps one weekend/month, they would have enough money to buy the minimal safety devices needed, and enter events.
I've been a bad bad boy. I should read the rules and behave before I get spanked by an admin

f#@k you i won't do what ya tell me

sounds like the issue isn't a place to go and do "stuff" more that you think the price you pay for track time is to costly so you want to shift the cost onto taxpayers by getting an area you can go for free? sorry i think not, enough money is wasted by the government currently, we have underpaid cops, army who are currently fighting a war too, doctors, nurses and schoolteachers, sorry but your little area will never happen, now you can say well it will stay on the streets without an area for "people" to go but that was going to happen anyway regardless of weather there is an area, read my last post, what i say is a fact, it dont matter if you would us this place or your mates would cause there are 100 others that will not. Its always the few that spoil it for the many!
You want a place to drive your no wof no reg car doing burnouts? how will you get it there trailer? yeah right, if you dont have a wof/reg then you dont have $$$ so you will drive it there, the cops will sting you at the entry checking cars driving in, whoop hello $800 dollar fine, might be a bit high i dont know cause i dont get No Wof No reg fines. It will cost you one way or another.

This kid that did 178km would not of driven 50kms to a place to then drive 178km to blow off steam, if he was angry like he said he would of done it as soon as he was on the road. I think he was just showing off, like i said Little Head controls the Big Head.

Oh and if you wanna talk about cost... i paid $50 bucks to do that Zorb thing which lasted urm about 1min and then i did the swoop that cost about the same for about 30seconds 1min.

Driving around a race track or drag strip starts to seem cheap now compare cost vs time, they are all trills yeah? you pay the money to get some kind of enjoyment or trill out of it, your paying for fun

Fun will = $$$

Mate sounds like you need to study hard, work hard and get yourself a good paying job.

Once you are pissing cash then paying $50 $100 bucks for something wont matter.

Agreed, your points are all very valid. I think the one point your missing is that your assuming that this is me writing saying what I personally want, some of it would be nice, somewhere to take my car and go nuts, but I know it wont happen.

Mate sounds like you need to study hard, work hard and get yourself a good paying job.

I do study hard (I'm only 7th ford btw) and I currently have a 2 jobs + the odd jobs for a few magazines + my website (www.bdphotography.co.nz) which is under reconstruction.

point 1) Even if there was a world class facility every 5k's in this country there would still be poeple speeding on roads, no question it would happen, so stop thinking a drag strip is going to fix anything

point 2) You can ban 'young men' driving all you want but if we can't drive we will just go off and do something else which the genral public will bitch about ie:party pills, and then we'll just turn into England with teens wandering the streets at night just hanging out because they cant do anything else, and caus mischief which the poms hate

point 3) Does the boy racer legislaton mean that if a 40 year old caught racing down kent terrace in a 61' impala will also get a day in court or will a speeding ticket be enough for him because he's more experianced behind the wheel, thus does this country descriminate because we are young?

Personally I would rather get the drink drivers off the road first before giving a flying F%$k about speeding kids, so if this country wants to piss around after kids be my guest but drink driving is a much bigger problem IMO!

My take, a graded licence system is needed. No car over 80hp while on your restricted and if you are ticketed then the restricted licence is enforced for another year or more depending on offence.
I was lucky that my youth was spent just before the huge influx of cheap Jap cars into NZ. I rode around in my mag wheeled, kitted.... KP60 2k ... thats about 40 hp of raw power... but bloody well balanced. There just wasnt the problem of people stacking themselves with 40-60 odd HP. Even the tards in the 8's only had enough power to spin a wheel if they had thin plastic tyres on.
The answer is Helmholtz!

Yes it was not directed at anyone it was a comment related to the cost of paying for a service and i am not pissed by no means, i dont care what you do,
People just think about your actions more than anything. Time and place for everything, and 178km threw an intersection to blow off steam is brainless, (this was what the topic was about to begin with) We have alot of bad parents out there that let there kids play in the streets.

But hey i got no issue with speeding on a road in the middle of nowhere where all you can hurt is fences and sheep, youself and those with you, others might not find this acceptable either, like cops that have to deal with the aftermath if their is a crash or the farmer whos sheep you just totaled, but personally hey go for it, need to keep world population down somehow so every bit heaps. The americans are doing their part are you?

Also to finish, dont overdrive your car either, it does have limits

You hit the nail on the head.

If everyone considered the people around them when they did things we would not have half the boy racer legislation that we do... this isnt "the government not providing street race venues" its the fact that the people that do these things are very poor examples of humanity.

You know, I can understand that sometimes, you get in a bad mood, and feel like flooring it.
If you're going to do it, something I don't agree with, at least don't do it in a densly populated area like where he got snapped!

If you go do it out on some back roads, where theres nobody, its still illegal, but fine. You crash, at least you're not going to take someone else out with you.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Yep, Classic case of that little shit thinking of no one but himself... he was probably pissed that the government had not built him a free 24h burnout skid pad

What about the poor person who stumbles on that crash in the middle of the night and has to deal with it? Fair on them? I don't think so.

Lesser of two evils...

And realistically, we all have our times and places which we go alot faster than legal.

For some who do it the proper way they do it on the track, however for most of us it would be a back/ rural road.
