Yeah. I remember Kris fanging it around years ago, it was a real piece of shit when he first got it.. it is SR20DET, I didn't think it had that many mods to it? Good stuff for getting into the tens!

Maybe he didn't want to spend thousands unnecessarily! Don't be so closed-minded, if he'd stayed Toyota, he'd still be stuck in the 12s (from memory?), don't hate on someone for wanting to lift their game..

Its a s13 sr20det with dead standerd internals, slightly ported head and a decent turbo, makes 466hp at the wheels on c16.
The 3t had the same turbo, ported head, forged pistons, debeamed and balanced rods, custom intake, i could go on. It made a massive 270hp and did a best of 13.5 at 102mph.
I dont know about you but id rather be doing 10.5s with a nissan motor than very unreliable 13.5s with the boat anchor 3t. You could do the same with a standerd gen3 3sgte but it would be a lot more work to get the motor in to the car.
At the end of the day it was the way Hamish decided to go and you can't really argue with the time slip vs money spent.
Oh and any 10 second car impresses me no matter what engine or body.

Thats huge power for a SR20 with stock internals, very impressive. What turbo does it run?
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

Turbonetics t3/t4. 57 trim comp wheel, .63 ex and stage 3 wheel. pretty much tapped out now though, He hasn't really decided if hes ganna try and go faster and have to cage it or if he just leaves it now because will have to spend a decent amount of $$ to go faster and be able to race it.

Was he running slicks, and was it stripped or in street trim?

Was running Hoosier quick time pros, 26x9.5x15 and as for stripped had no passenger seat or rear seat, so thats what ever you want to call it. At that mph and time it would have done a pretty easy high 10 with the seats in it.

Yes I will quite happily admit to being a wanker, I am highly optionated and like to share them, weather or not they offend other's

I jsut can't see how come he couldnt get into the 10second zone with his 3tgte, when I see so many crazy Porto Ricans running 9's with dirty 3tc's

Also i do not rate the sr20det as a motor at all, but thats jsut my option
