is this one of those electric turbos?
my bro bought a nissan gloria (vg30) and it had a turbozet (www.turbozet.com)

it ran off the alternators pulse and did actually make quite a large difference in torque. the more you accelerated the more it flowed

It's a throttle bypass bleed.

Crikey... looks like he had it setup to use the "pressure" in the crank-case to force air into the engine!

Surely it would slow down a turbo car unless there was a one way valve in it... would be a boost leak into the crank case... 8O

Im reminded of rediciouslly big "bigbores" any tll me the point of those lol......
