fuel press gauge

hey there
im wanting to put a fuel press gauge i have into my fxgt. how do i go about setting this up? gauge has came with all fittings and some extendible pipe.

well join it all together!

You want it before your FPR, on the pressure side. Otherwise it will just read 0

What kind of bits did you get?

If you have a T piece kind of thing just put it on the hose leading to the fuel rail i would say.

And the standard FPR should be bolted to the other end..

Aftermarket FPR's have a port for pressure gauges

y do u wanna put it in if ur not running an aftermarket 1?

Is it a mechanical gauge, or an electrical one.

Where do you want to put the gauge? If it's mechanical, don't put it inside your cabin. Electrical ones are sweet, but the machanical ones will run a fuel line into the car, which if breaks for any reason you get it all over you. (not good)

Also, why do you want a fuel pressure gauge in the car to start with? Better off getting an oil pressure and temp gauge, water temp gauge etc. Gives you a better indication on how your engine is going.

FP gauge is a great idea for any car which might have its FP running at its limit. Even J-spec mk4 supras make good use of them if raising the boost and running stock shitty pump.

Or i guess you could use the fuel pressure gauge money to just buy and install a decent pump :-D

Yeah that might be fair enough, but as you say get a better pump. Why risk seeing it die and then blowing your motor, when you could have avoided it completely.

But, judging by the mods listed for the car it's not going to be under any undue stress.
