Anything 17" and up looks out of place on any old school car. IMO

depends what the oldschool car is, different sized wheels with suit a starlet compare to a crown.

voted 14" though for your car / anything thats not a tank

car needs to be lower though to make use of the stretched tyres imo, otherwise i'd just run 205s or wider if its going to stay at that height and get some flarage, each to own etc tho 8)

lol unfortunatly going lower just aint a option. There would be major scrapeage problems and it would never get in my garage! It's already a major mission to get her in there so maybe a little flareage is the best idea. I don't want massive flares just a little xtra to help cover the gap :)

195/45? why so tiny?
bigger tyres means more ground clearance so you can lower it more and fill the guard up better

personally i think the stretch looks terrible unless its virtually touching the body

sorry yeah i meant bigger profile too.

People go on about balloon tyres etc, but I think a decent tyre doesn't look half bad, expecially wrapped around wheels like that!

go skinner on the front, but i think on the back you should go with some 17's that are 14" wide.

14s for old stuff, but since yours isn't really old enough I'd say the 17s suit it :)

And I don't mean its not old school, just not really old enough for it to matter either way

And I voted 14s

sorry but i forgot to mention the offset. These rims stick outside my guards massively! This is the reason for the 195/45 rubber. I measured and calculated the exact tyre size that would fit and not scrape even if i hit the bump stops. 195/45 is the widest and the biggest profile that will fit these mags with their offset on my car. If i went to 50 profile or more i would have had to go to 185 or smaller which is just wrong!
So do u prefer the oldschool mag look or the 17's. In the flesh im definate on the longchamps!
Oh an hrt she will be a classic in 2 yrs :D and shes pretty oldschool compared to 95% of the cars on here :D

Haha, depends who you ask as to classic or not. Can ya get cheap rego? ;)

And yeah it is oldschool compared to most. Its not really my thing, but I reckon the 17s don't look half bad on it. Have never seen anything I like longchamps on, don't see what all the fuss about them is with. But each to their own.

Personally I care more about tyres than the rims they're on, and agree with HRT.

And square cars aren't old school :P

14's FTW. Big rims look wrong on small old Jap cars.
1988 KE70 Wagon - Slowly rusting
1990 NA6 MX-5 - because reasons
2018 Ranger - Because workcar
1997 FD3S RX-7 Type R - all brap, all the time
OMG so shiny!

so this is quite a disputed topic? Big or small for the old jappa's?

Those lenso's look mean but yeah they r copies but who cares. I get cheap rego in 2 yrs so i think i can call her old school then :D

Anyway yeah 17's did look good but the longchamps just gotta be seen in the flesh to believe. I have definatly noticed the car gettin wayyyyy more attention! That just confirms it for me :D
