get a new fuel filter and run some injector cleaner.

Could be a fueling problem?

Is it MAP or AFM? Is Map sensor hose connected? AFM will have a lot of problems with vacuum leaks. MAP sensored blue top will be ok-ish if there are some vacuum lines disconnected it will run higher RPM idle (as long as MAP sensor itself is connected in right place through right hose).
Do you have enough gas in the tank?
It might be fuel pump if, you sort out all the vacuum lines, and it will still have same problem.

maybe if you post some hi-res pics of your engine bay/ vacuum hoses, I could tell you what to connect where...
Or find someone else with a bluetop and copy theirs vacuum hose connections.

WTF? what a mess.
For starters, I can't see the MAP sensor bolted in the ususal place, on the strutbrace on the left... it looks like you have an earth wire attached to it instead.
Probably easier to burn the car and forget about it.

ok, from what I can see in the pic.

map sensor missing
cam wheel backing plate missing
cam belt cover missing
wiring needs checking then re-looming
loom that normally runs across the front of the car has been moved
cam covers are round the wrong way
PCV tube missing
heater control missing
radiator top feed is frankinstein
HT lead holder missing
airbox, filter, pipe all missing
battery missing (in boot? if so, probably needs mounts fixed)
radiator cap missing

Given all this (and that is all I can see in this lo-res photo) it is obviously going to be an expensive time consuming effort unless someone is willing to donate all the parts and some labour.
Sorry to say, but there is probably heaps more wrong with the car if the engine bay is anything to go by.
