I insure my daily, a cheap dirty old ke70, but my ke30 has no insurance what so ever.
If someone did hit me or if i crashed it i would be out of pocket in the tune of over 10k (assuming 10k is the value i could flog it off on trademe for now). Its had waaayyy more spent on it, around triple that!
Id be in the shit if i hit someone too, but car only gets driven once every couple of weeks and usually backroads only. Dont think ill have a crash in it where it is my fault with a third party.
I'm extra cautious due to the fact i'm un-insured plus its no fun driving when there are other cars around

I have tried getting insurance when it was 1600 NA, but with a list of mods a few pages long no one would pick me up. I was getting quotes higher than what i way paying for my evo, which put over 200kw at all fours and snorted 12 second quarters. Ridicules if you ask me! They didnt understand standard items such as suspension wears out and i've replaced it with newer spec Toyota bits.
So im asking if your pride and joy is insured, not your daily or any other car!
