just a few of the better pics from ashburton, first time ive been down for it and was awsome, you get so close to the cars, not like dunedin where you are far away from the road

fastest time when i left (was bloody cold) was a 2: 24 by the r32 gtr skyline

na the evo 7 broke its rear drive shaft moving up to the start line in the top 16 race, there was another evo getting 2:29s not sure who was driving

yer the evo 7 was in the top ten fastest before it broke, i pretty sure it was a white evo doing 2:29

I wasnt there but i heard Jarrod Parmentor from timaru was doing some quick times in a white evo 3?

the Autogas car is the last one in the above group. very quick when running correctly

i missed all of the runoffs apart from the top 2, but of what i did see...
winner was Neville Stowell white R32 2:26.1ish
2nd James Marshall Silver WRX 0.16 sec behind i think it was. had the fastest time until the final
pretty damn good times considering the horrible looking new seal the clever council had put down a few days earlier
Jarred Parmenter was in the top 4 i think

sounded like Carl's new Evo7 was having all kinds of troubles. heard about it losing bits on the start line and track causing overheating and boost issues? dunno how much of that was right though
