Mintex 1166 it's a great compound for track and road. I have used EBC, and after mintex, I would never go back.

Endless CCX

I found that EBC red's were great for there performance, but wore out too quick. The Endless CCX may be twice the price, but they feel even better, and no where near the wear. So for me, they are better value for money.

Mintex 1166

and if those are "no good" then go with Ferodo DS3000's, which are even better, but more expensive obviously.

Bendix heavy duty if driving on the road and sealed sprints etc. cost bugger all and perform really well.
Ferodo DS3000 if going on the track with good rubber (not necessary on crappy street tyres)

Tried EBC red stuff and Green stuff both shit for track use broke up and took ages to heat up and work. Use to use M1166's they were awesome. Am currently trying Ferodo DS2000's and loving them both for track and road, not quiet as hard on the rotors as M1166's and a bit cheaper too as there available off the shelf.

Ive got EBC red stuffs on my supra Matt, i have no complaints with them at all, they are awesome on the track

Have no problem with them heating up maybe its just 1500kgs of supra warms them up pretty fast

I considered the mintex's, but the hassle of sending a pad away so they could copy it etc etc it was easier to order EBC's and throw them in, i was in a rush tho got the car going a week before megameet and the mainfield trackday

Mintex are really really good in a little AE92, they don't last long in competition use though

Just because I'm too lazy to call (and I'm really just curious, not looking to buy), what sort of prices are these pads for smaller cars?
