is there a way to do this? some website or something? does it show up if you get a vehicle check done on it? should i ring vinz or do they have nothing to do with that type of stuff?

Ask the Police, they'll know. I have a feeling that my car was pink stickered, and then had the plate changed but nothing showed up on the report at all.
If it has got new plates, just pay careful attention to the glass around the WOF sticker...you'll probably notice an outline of adhesive from the pink sticker

Are you liable for fines if you buy a car thats been pink stickered & it ripped off?
Ending up with spare parts in assembling things since 1983
