1uzfe engine mounts

Postby biga69 » Tue May 20, 2008 1:10 pm

Does anyone know where I can get solid mount engine mounts for the 1uzfe v8? The factory ones are pretty crap and I have heard there is someone in Auckland that does all sorts of engine mounts for conversions.

If tey are the fluid filled luxury spec ones ones- i vote for cutting a hole in them and filling them wth urethane or something.

Ruthless. I made some for my car out of 90A urethane (reasonably hard) with a steel crush tube through the center, so it's basically solid mounted but still has a small amount of flex. I could probably make something for you but I would need to have a factory mount to take measurements off.

Thats what the wrecker told me that the fluid ones which were on my motor are crap and he suggested going for the urethane block style and said there was a guy in AK that does them but just wanted to know if anyone knows of a place that does engine mounts?
