got a new car:

Postby crshbndct » Fri May 23, 2008 8:48 am

so the tie rod end on my mr2 collapsed and sent me into a wall.
r.i.p. MR2 :(

so anyway i thought i better buy something similiarly toyota, and something with a bit more sex appeal. (or at least that i can have sex in the back of)
so i got this:

for $19800.00 plus my old mr2 plus my kidney and a night with my mrs.
it has:
NO RUST WHATSOEVER
3k-b twin carb engine
matt black spray job by previous idiot owner complete with massive toyota logo just incase someone mistakes it for a bentley continental gt
only one bit of damage anywhere on the body
a set of rays volk racing 2 piece 15" mags (painted with grey house paint by aforementioned idiot)
i have all the interior for it - its just no in yet.
and the fuel pump is $&#$% because he replaced it and managed to break the fuel pump in half by tightening it too tight.
so i really need a cheap or free (night with my mrs?) fuel pump for the car, just to get it running, it does run, but i used 600ml of oil in 28km getting it home, its just pumping out the oil where the fuel pump is
onto the pics

i do apologise for the shitty pictures, i took these real early this morning when i came out to admire my car.
and they are also a bit big sorry

I'm not sure if I know what's going on in this thread....

It seems like..... Someone paid 20k for a matt black 3K powered KE :?

And.... didnt realise that a 5 digit odo can go around the clock?

to clear things up, hte odo has not been round, it currently says 162,863 so its either 162,863, or 1,162,863, which i somehow dont think the original 3k would handle.

i didnt pay that much for it, i was just saying that because i cannot divulge the amount due to certain jealous exwives of mine thinking i have too much money and if they knew how much i really paid (close to $83k) they would be after me for my money again, as they would think i am rich.

its not matt black anymore :)

and yes this is the same one on trademe, he is a good mate of mine, and so thats how i got the really good deal, he was asking $98k, but gave me $15k off hte price

all i can say is be very very careful, my brother looked into the ownership of this vehicle coz he wanted to buy it.
