lol, yeh but it gets to the point were effort required, and output gained are way up the piss.

put a 3kb head on if you can find 1. other wise the 4k head will b fine.

Spend 5x the price of a 4AGE conversion, and get 1/2 the power, and driveability,

Oh, but you will get twice the fuel comsumtion though.

If you really wanted to spend big dollars, probably something like
short skirt pistons, lightweight rods, large cam, and headwork by someone who knows what they are doing?

Use the 4K head, 3KB is a waste of time (lets have huge ports and standard size valves, hurray) and a 4K-U head on a stock 4K would end up with 16:1 compression (methanolicious!)
Just plane a few thou off it to bring compression to 10:1, it'll go better. Still nothing flash, but will be better than stock.
Really depends on how much money you want to spend, you can get them to make over 130hp if you want.

When i had my 4k in my dx, i ported and polished head refaced valves, F29 cam from kelfords, all new bearings, re-bored with oversized pistons, lighten flywheel, planed head (14:1), just used a 32/36 webber carb, sounded mean as did good skids lol but wasnt overly fast, cost me around 3g i think.

transplant a better motor in.

a blacktop would be nice, but not the easiest of conversions. 4ages are used a lot though, so most parts will be easily available, just might be costly, but at least it will go well when done.

all depends how serious you want to get.

My current dream is 1uz in my corona project  will start saving $$$ one day.

Forged slipper pistons, forged rods, forged maincaps, dry sump, titanium pushrods, roller rockers + lifters, 15:1 compression, twin 40mm carbs/quad throttles, run on methanol and rev to 10,000rpm. Not to mention balance the living bejesus out of everything that spins and spend thousands on the head.
Would sound incredible, and cam dependant would make assloads of power and have to be rebuilt every 4 hours.
