w55 speedo drive

this is what ive got and aparently is "well queer" lol:

i need to convert it to mechanical drive as you can see the cable hanging there but this one doesnt unscrew and changeover like im told it should ?

any advice on wtf ive got here ? aparently the box came from a sx80 cresta but obviously it doesnt

Looks to me like you need to remove that 10mm(?) bolt and pull the whole sender assembly out and replace it with the screw type.

yes thats true i know that BUT bens one is different his just screws off and on and uses the same actual drive part whereas this one doesnt

Take it out and see what is in there. Another whole drive unit may bolt in

i did take it out, another unit will bolt in but the one i had from the auto box is way too small, i should have taken a photo but i didnt, ill get one tomorow since the box still has no oil in it

Can you please take it out and measure all the dimensions? I use the electronic sender in my box but mine is the screw in type, if its the same I'd be willing to swap with you.

Matt if you are after another sensor I have another spare. The new cressida has a cable for the speedo so I don't need the one from the chaser.

Would be same as the last one i sent you, screw on type.
