It'd be wicked if you were an insomniac; then you could call him every hour each night. Then he'd want to send it to you.

If I was an insomniac I would.

Without using any of the more devious methods of obtaining info I found the following which might be useful, if nothing else it might embarrass him ;)

He lists a mobile number in this thread Which according to the questions in this trademe auction seems to be shared by this Trademe Member

Also seems to be posting on the Aussie Aristo board http://www.jzs147.com.au/forum/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=490

File it away... they have murderers that rob liquor stores for a hundred bucks! .. I can write the report no worries I've still got his mobile number and all the emails - Mobile number doesn't get answered tho

... is exactly right.

If you don't put in a complaint nothing will be done.

If enough people put in complaints the volume alone will draw attention to the loser.

If enough people ignore it, noone will be collating information and putting together a big picture of exactly what's going on.

It takes a few minutes (and costs nothing) to file a complaint at your local Police Station, they issue you with an Event number... these can be crossreferenced and looked up later.

If/when the guy gets picked up they suddenly have a list of offences to put next to his name.

If you don't put it thru the Police noones going to do much about it as apart from the fact it implies you 'dont care' it does nothing to provide any sort of moral or legal obligation to assist you.

A guy ripped me off a while ago on some stuff,

tracked him down and laid a police complaint,

and now he's in jail for 3 years.

Turned out he was on bail for fraud at the time,
and had ripped off another $25K from people while he was on bail,
and had been under investigation for a while.

Me and Mr Revhead and a few others actually appered on his doorstep one day.

If you dont complain, and no-one else does,
they will do it again.

this AristoTT bloke bought some stuff off me. He collected the goods and left - I didn't count the funds till afterwards unfortunately as he had not given me the full amount.

Decided it was my bad for being so trusting so did not say anything- It could afterall have been an honest mistake on his behalf.

That is him selling stuff on trademe under another account. He did say to me that he was importing and selling car parts from overseas.

I'm shocking at posting parts and dealing with people and transactions. I no longer sell anything that people cannot pickup

I wonder how many people have been ripped off by him on here, but didn't make an effort to lay a complaint in anyway..... i'm sure it would have been less people if people had complained!!!

but since no one can be bothered i'm sure he'll do it again. ah well

Guys, amusing as this may be, lets keep the thread for facts, not defamation. Else it will be locked and removed.

Can we have a sepearate thread for defamation?

If we could have a Defame Scot Edhouse Thread on all the main car forums he'd be sure to stop ripping people!
