3SGTE - Changing a cambelt - new parts?

Okay, engine is on the stand and I'm marking off where all the pulleys sit etc.

Do I need to change anything else while changing the cambelt? ie tensioner, other pulleys etc?

I've got a new oil pump and water pump, but is there anything else to switch over now?

Engine is a 96 3sgte and has done approx 110,000kms.

Hydraulic tensioner

There is also a tensioner bearing that comes off the hydraulic and an idler bearing.

If your changing the waterpump, flush the cooling system at the same time and change the thermostat and gasket.

If it was me I would change the plugs at the same time too.
MR2 SW20 3SGTE uses PK20R8 (Denso) or BKR6EP-8 (NGK) plugs.

If you take the distributor off, just get a new dizzy o'ring while you are there so you dont have to do it later on if it leaks

How would I flush the water system at this stage and which gasket are you talking about? Thermostat is already ordered.

Distributor is already off. I'll order new dizzy ring and plugs tomorrow
