My GTT failed its warrant - two front tyres worn. So I thought this would be a good opportunity to buy some mags & flick my crap factory alloys.

I've rung around a few places for quotes and I'm getting some very conflicting advice. I'm getting quotes for certain mags from one store only to be told by another place they will not fit due to the offset. Unfortunately I don't have time to dick around with this especially since most mag shops only open 1/2 days on saturdays and I cant get to them during the week.

So - what is the definitve offset range for a GTT?

Also, a mate of mine recently bought some nice mags from Mag & Turbo, but he said they had to use spacers to get them to fit - I thought spacers were illegal?

And finally; can anyone recomend a reputable mag store whcih can do a good deal on a set?

Not sure what the offsets are, but maybe get in contact with tsoob he will be willing to help you out. He manages the North Shore Magwarehouse.com

I got my wheels from magwarehouse.com in Manukau, but they changed ownership, and to be honest I don't like the look of those guys. I know this first hand.

Thanks Warren; I've PM'd tsoob & just waiting to hear back on some prices.

It's quite difficult to find mags with the caldina offset (38 - 45), particularly with spacers being illegal.

Anyway, has anyone heard of the mag brand 'Versus'? Does anyone know if they are a good brand or not?

Also, how can I check to see if mags fit correctly? Is it just a matter of putting them on and jumping on the tow-bar to see if they hit the strut?

check with 41 from the sponsors, theyve always got some deals on wicked wheels for toyspeeders.

As for offset i thought they were 35 to 42 but could be wrong

i got 35 offset on mine fits mint, sticks out just enough so they don't rub, well the rears did at first but got the guard rolled now its minter

actually i own it...

Manukau has changed hands recently Sai is the new owner out there.

I have pm'd you r.e. wheels we are open a full day on sat also guys im still here now its 5pm on saturday...

Just a quick update on this:

I put 45 offset wheels (215/40/17's) on my GTT and there is miles of room. I don't see why an even higher offset wheel wouldn't fit.

The car is also lowered and there are no rubbing issues.

The wheel sits slightly back from the guard but it is barely noticable.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but im on the look out for a new set of wheels.

I Currently have a set of 17x7" with 38 offset,
Will subaru offset wheels fit my car?
I am after either 17x7, 17x8, 18x7.5 or 18x8

Ok, i have purchased a set of wheels (the ones above) 18x7.5 ET45

What offset/width do people have on their cars?
I am hoping i don't need spacers :-S
