Shock upgrade for Caldina GTT

Postby TOYO-GT-T » Sat Jun 14, 2008 6:37 pm

I would like to replace my factory shocks, can anyone suggest a good upgrade and indication of the dollar figure?

I would like to have an upgrade over the factoy shocks as I intend to do the odd social motorsport event.

At present I am on factoy shocks and Tein Springs.

KYB are a decent low priced shock, stay away from munroe.
Supa cheap used to sell them for about $75 each for the inserts, or $150 each for the sealed struts. Not sure if the price is still the same

Would there be much difference performance wise between the TRD and KYB's?

I am sure in one of the older archived posts someone was claiming the TRD shocks are actually made by KYB?

They most definitely are! When one of my TRD shocks needed rebuilt it was sent away and even came back in a KYB box with the same part numbers on it.

But they may be built to different specifications.
