Lexus IS250

Postby diss7 » Sun Jun 22, 2008 12:18 am

I've just told the Yaris and Hilux that there'll be a new addition to the garage in a couple of weeks.

After being pressured by the salesmen to buy one of their IS250's in stock, (they were all Auto) because the resale on a manual will be rubbish, they gave in and said they'd order one in for me.

Seems to be a rare car in manual, there is only one in stock throughout Queensland. And luckily, its the colour I wanted (Black); Otherwise it was going to be a 4 month wait.

So many standard options that impressed me, Dual zone Air con, keyless start, leather air conditioned/heated seats. Handled brilliantly, and the motor was a pearler.

I'll post some pictures up when it arrives. :)

I'd rather not say excatly what I've paid on a public forum out of respect to the dealer, who cut me a good deal.

They start in the very high 50's, and if you want the moon roof, bigger wheels, sat nav etc then you're knocking on 70.

Thats driveaway, stampduty/LCT/GST rego included.

Hmmm a very good choice, they are a tight, tidy, well appointed small-mid sized sedan.

Quality through out. Ive driven a friend of mines IS250 a wee while ago when they were fairly new on the roads and I have to say I was very impressed with it, certainly handled well as being smooth and civilized, more than enough go from the 2.5l new model V6 too - a bonus would be their ecconomy which Is quite good from what I recall especially with todays prices.

Just another fine example of a Lexus - they really get it perfect. Even that was seen 16-18 years ago with the first ones on the market so these new ones are just top notch! :)

Post some pictures up when you get it mate!
