DRAGS in CHCH on Sunday 22 June 08

Postby matt dunn » Tue Jun 17, 2008 1:32 am

There is a drag event at Ruapuna this weekend.

Is anyone from here planning on going to watch or run,
or know anymore details than just that it is on?

Have been thinking of going myself,
not the best time of year for times,

but I can't really get there in the middle of my race season,
so off season drag racing it is.

What a waste of a trip,

decieded to go as the weather looked ok,
and it turned out the weather was great,

Scruitineering closed at 11am, but they cancelled it due to lack of entries
and at about 10am, way before a lot of people would have even got there.

So packed up again and travelled back home.

Well I probably wont be going back unless it is a big promoted meeting,
maybe 4& Rotary's, but that usually clashes with my own race events.

Hope you send a notice or letter of complaint, esp when you travel from out of town to go to an event.

lucky i didn't go, had thought of cruising out for a look on Sunday.

Did they not advertise it much? & as you say usually there is a lot who don't get there untill late.
