Well I’m getting some new factory struts for my daily driver bzg super strut Levin from Mark at Manawatu Toyota (his service is awesome by the way). Now I have pulled my trd coilovers out of my race car many times and its easy but they are not super strut. I know the back are identical to the non superstrut ones so that sweet but the front is a different story.
So is there anything I need to know about swapping the superstrut ones that is going to make the job difficult? And will I need any additional tools over a socket set?
Also I need to change the springs as I have lowered springs on the struts at the moment. Normally I would use spring compressors to get them off but have been told it’s easier to leave the car on the ground and just undo the strut bolt while the car holds the spring captive. Anyone had bad experiences with this?
Cheers,
John
